Meir Hasbani brings to Stillwater over 17 years of experience in conventional refining, crude production, biofuels manufacturing, and decarbonization policy and strategy. His expertise spans the full value chain from wells to wheels. As a certified Lead LCFS Verifier in California, Meir brings a rare combination of technical depth and regulatory fluency that enables clients to navigate complex compliance requirements while optimizing the economics of their operations.
At Chevron, Meir developed the company’s West Coast and Rocky Mountains refining, marketing and renewables strategy and was awarded Chevron’s Chairman’s Award for his role as project manager for Chevron’s first renewables manufacturing plants. He holds a U.S. patent for developing a method of determining and optimizing renewable carbon content in biogenic fuel production and blending.
As a member of Stillwater Associates and founder of Hasbani Advisory, Meir helps clients turn strategic goals into practical implementation roadmaps, translate complex regulatory requirements into compliance strategy, develop price and market forecasts, and optimize operating facilities against changing market conditions and equipment performance.
Meir began his career as a process engineer and holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, where he was an NCAA Division I All-American swimmer.
