Ron Dunner has extensive experience in energy trading and risk management. He has started up oil and gas companies and divisions within existing energy firms from a grassroots basis to adding lateral markets and teams. In addition to starting and managing businesses, Mr. Dunner actively engaged in trading the full spectrum of refined products.

Most recently he was the Director of Gasoline Trading and Marketing for Chemoil Corporation, wholly owned by Glencore Corp. Prior to Chemoil, he was the Vice President of Gasoline Trading for BioUrja Trading LLC, an energy marketing and trading firm active in biofuel, crude, and gasoline markets. Before his role at BioUrja, Mr. Dunner was with Astra Oil Co. from 1997-2010. (Astra is a large independent company engaged in all facets of the energy business.) Mr. Dunner was COO of Astra Power, responsible for creating a natural gas and power division for Astra Oil, a subsidiary of the Transcor Group. Mr. Dunner also traded refined products in the U.S. for Astra. Prior to joining Astra, Mr. Dunner started Mieco in 1985-1997, a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation. Mieco is primarily engaged in oil and gas trading in the Pacific Rim. Mr. Dunner traded refined products, including imports and exports from the U.S. West Coast to Asian Countries.

In addition to trading and starting up and managing energy businesses, Mr. Dunner has also been involved in risk management and implementing value at risk models for Mieco, Astra, and BioUrja. His market expertise is applicable to trading floors of investment banks, integrated energy companies, independent marketers, and hedge funds. His market history and perspective can be used as an excellent resource for analyzing and projecting trends within the energy sector. For opportunistic trading, risk management/hedging, audits, or other advisory roles, his knowledge of the U.S. energy market infrastructure is well known and respected throughout the industry.

Mr. Dunner received a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Southern California, graduating with honors. He earned an M.B.A at USC, and has been a guest lecturer at USC Marshall School of Business, UCLA Anderson School and University of Oregon Business School.
